GFS owns a 10 acre property in Brimfield OH that includes 2 full size soccer fields and a club house with shelter and showers. GFS organizes “Fussball” (soccer), which has been the favorite German sport for decades. The main soccer field was financed by german born Karl Reuther owner of Reuther Mold and Manufacturing (Cuyahoga Falls) who was the employer of some of the founders of the GFS soccer program. The founders included the late Fritz Meindl who contributed more than his time to the start of the program. Since the program was started in 1974, so many trophies were accumulated that Marty Misbrener, the current sports director cannot find any more room for shelves in the club house.
